Skunkworks

Lepricon's own innovation lab for sharing solutions to current problems in Blockchain

Innovation is a huge value that Lepricon takes seriously.

Through the process of developing new games and products that can reach the masses, we've often come across the need for solutions to problems that have not yet been created, or are highly inaccessible.

Our goal is to share the knowledge we've learned and created to help others!

What's with the name?

Skunkworks, as a term, finds its origins in World War II when the US government tasked Lockheed Aircraft Corp to quickly develop a jet fighter for the US Army that can combat the superior German airforce. Lockheed created a team and quickly developed the XP-80 Shooting Star jet within a month, delivering the final aircraft ahead of schedule only 143 days later.

The team formed to work on this innovation had to build out of a rented circus tent due to the lack of space at Lockheed. The tent apparently smelled so badly, it was joked about in the papers as "Skonk works".

The spirit of Skunkworks at Lepricon

While the term Skunkworks is now widely used, with "SKUNK WORKS®" being trademarked by Lockheed, we use this term as an inspiration to remind us that disruptive innovation can and should happen anywhere, anytime.

Skunkworks for Lepricon is not forming a separate team to focus on innovation, but rather a spirit of innovation that transcends departments and is lived and breathed throughout our organization. Whenever there are innovative solutions, we strive to provide the resources to bring that to light.

Innovation, efficiency and focus coming together is the heartbeat of Skunkworks, and most definitely Lepricon.
